For Authors
Submit ManuscriptAnyone can submit an article to the Berkeley Business Law Journal. All submissions must be made through Scholastica—we will only review articles sent to our journal’s email if the author is entirely unable to create a Scholastica account. Review of articles sent to our journal’s email may be significantly delayed.
At this time, the journal is only publishing articles focused on U.S. law, not international law, but we are happy to accept submissions from international authors.
Article citations must follow the latest edition of The Bluebook. There are no word or page limits for submissions, but a piece’s succinctness is considered in the selection process.
BBLJ publishes twice a year: once in late Fall, and once in late Spring/early Summer. We begin reviewing submissions for both editions starting around March of the academic year. Slotting for our Fall edition tends to run from March through June of the current year, and slotting for our Spring edition tends to run from June through October of the prior year. We are unable to accomodate expedite requests before our review periods begin.
Please address any questions about the submissions process to bblj@berkeley.edu AND bblj-submissions@berkeley.edu.
